I've been trying to figure out why I'm not completely blown away by this—I really want to be! One thing is the eyes are too far apart. If she could move her head so she's facing directly ahead, the eye on the left would be almost on the side of her face. I know I'll be heckled by this next observation... the detail that many commenters like is just too much; or, more accurately, the cross-hatching is just random in many places, as though to fill space. It makes her look like a scruffy urchin. And there are very few places where the solid black and cross-hatching blend. Love the hair and the pose.
